Eric Avenel is Porfessor in Economics at the University of Grenoble II - Pierre Mendès France. he is a member of the Grenoble Applied Economics Labatory (GAEL).

Eric Avenel has a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Paris I - Panthéon-Sorbonne. His expertise include vertical relations, vertical integration and economics of innovation.
